An incomplete may be assigned only upon the request of the student and with the instructor’s approval. The student must have successfully completed two-thirds of the course requirements, but for good reason cannot complete the course in the time allotted.

If an incomplete is assigned, the instructor must fill out an Incomplete Grade form available to faculty on CCNET under the Forms link. All areas must be filled out including the Student ID, the Course Item number, and the incomplete end date. The “yes” box must be checked if the incomplete should be set up in Canvas. (This allows the student with the incomplete to continue having access to the course shell, while it remains closed for the rest of the class. The eLearning department will then set the incomplete section up in Canvas based on the dates provided on the form.
